As our Product Design Intern, you’ll be an important benefactor in driving our platform by supporting the Product department.


About transferz & the role

Transferz operates a global B2B ground transportation marketplace dedicated to travelers, travel brands, and transfer companies. Travelers can complete their travel plans with door-to-door transfers by selecting the transfer they want, based on vehicle type and price, and enjoy peace of mind on the first and last mile of their journeys.

With coverage in 150+ countries, 1500+ airports, and more than 5000 transfer companies in the transferz network, we are truly global. We already gained the trust of leading international travel brands like Booking.com, Expedia, MakeMyTrip, Amadeus, and Traveloka. For these travel brands, transferz is a one-stop-shop, providing global ground transportation solutions to their customers, while capturing interesting ancillary revenues. transferz is growing fast, and we aspire to become the market leader in ground transportation worldwide. Therefore, we are looking for a Product Design Intern, who will join our Product team to work alongside our Product Designer, taking our platform to the next level!


What will you do?

  • You will empathize with users of our different products and markets;
  • You will work with our designer and product teams, conducting user research, forming user flows, creating mockups and prototypes, and seeing through your creations in development;
  • You will contribute to consolidating our experience, UI, and overall design language through our evolving design system;
  • You will influence how design operations take place and improve with growing product needs and teams;
  • You will go beyond the screen by being involved in cross-functional alignments with development, customer support, supply, and commercial teams;
  • You will gain hands-on experience and take the first step in your design career

Requirements

  • You have product design experience from your education or previous internships, or a strong intention to delve into this world;
  • You have basic knowledge of Figma or a comparable design application;
  • You are willing to wear the shoes of different users and stakeholders, empathize with them, and create the best experience;
  • You enjoy taking ownership and being the point of contact for your domain;
  • You are fluent in English (speaking any other language is beneficial as you can leverage this in user research interviews);
  • You are available full-time (40 hours per week) for 6 months with an expected start date in February 2025, and you are based in or near Amsterdam.

The salary is determined as 600 EUR per month for this internship based on 40 hours per week. We are an office-first company with flexibility of working from home. The interview process consists of two interviews, one with our designer who will be your mentor and manager through your internship, and another one with a different product team member.
